Former NBA Player Blames Jordan Poole's Exit For Warriors' Struggles

The Golden State Warriors, once a dominant force in the NBA, might be seeing their championship days come to an end.

Former NBA player Rashad McCants believes the main reason for this is the team's decision to move on from Jordan Poole.

On the Gil's Arena podcast, McCants said, "It's like a burning building that's coming down. Unfortunately, it's because of everything the Warriors let happen with Jordan Poole."

The Warriors traded Poole, who was averaging over 20 points per game, for veteran Chris Paul. McCants thinks this move hurt both Poole's growth and the team's future. "Choosing Brandin Podziemski, Draymond Green, and Jonathan Kuminga over Jordan Poole was crazy to me," McCants added. "When I think about the Warriors now, I think about Jordan Poole. I feel like that's why Klay [Thompson] left, and I think the team is going to break up."

While the Warriors still have star player Steph Curry, they are missing a key scorer like Poole. McCants suggests that unless someone like Kuminga steps up or they make a big trade, the Warriors might not be as feared as they once were.
