Los Angeles Lakers owner Jeanie Buss has finally spoken about why the team drafted Bronny James, the 19-year-old son of NBA superstar LeBron James. It’s been almost six weeks since the Lakers chose Bronny, and many fans have been curious about the decision.

In an interview with Kids Sports Reporters, Buss shared her thoughts on Bronny joining the Lakers. She praised his work ethic and mentioned that he’s already one of the hardest-working players on the team. “He’s been playing in the Summer League and doing really well.

As a fellow USC Trojan, I’m excited to see what he can do,” Buss said. She also noted how thrilled LeBron is to play alongside his son, which will be the first time a father-son duo has played on the same team in NBA history.

Some people have raised concerns about nepotism, but Buss doesn’t seem bothered by it. She’s confident in Bronny’s potential and looks forward to seeing him develop with the team.

Bronny is still a work in progress, but the Lakers have big plans for him. In the Summer League, he showed improvement in each game, averaging six points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per game.

Though his shooting percentages were low, the Lakers plan to help him grow at his own pace in the G League this season.
