The Los Angeles Lakers picked Bronny James, son of NBA star LeBron James, in the second round of the 2024 NBA Draft.

Despite a tough first college season with USC, Bronny joined the draft to follow his dream of playing in the NBA.

Some people criticized the Lakers' decision, thinking it was more about his famous dad than his skills. But Bronny has been focused on proving himself.

He played in the Summer League, and after a slow start, he finished strong, showing solid defense and some offensive potential.

The Lakers have a plan for Bronny: they’ll mostly have him play in the G League this season. This gives him time to improve, especially on offense, to handle the challenges of the NBA.

Bronny is still a work in progress, but the Lakers believe he could become a key player in the future. Although he’s only 19, with support from his team and family, Bronny is determined to make his mark in the NBA.
