LeBron James Gets 4 Stitches After Injury at Olympics

LeBron James needed four stitches after getting hit in the eye during Team USA's 122-87 win over Brazil in the Olympics quarterfinals in Paris.

USA coach Steve Kerr told reporters about the injury after the game. LeBron said he is fine.

LeBron left the court to get stitched up and came back to the sidelines by the end of the fourth quarter, but he did not play again. Team USA was already far ahead, leading 63-36 at halftime and 94-71 going into the fourth quarter.

LeBron played only 17 minutes but still scored 12 points, made nine assists, had three steals, and three rebounds. 

Team USA is now 4-0 in the Olympics, winning by an average of 24.75 points.


Next, Team USA will play Serbia, which lost 110-84 to the USA in group play. Serbia, led by NBA MVP Nikola Jokić, made it to the semifinals after a comeback win over Australia. 


The game is set for 3 p.m. ET on Thursday. France and Germany will play in the other semifinal.
