Chappell Roan recently shared that she has been diagnosed with severe depression. Despite her personal struggles, the singer celebrated a huge milestone — one year since the release of her debut album, The Rise & Fall of a Midwest Princess.

On Instagram, Roan expressed her gratitude, saying, "1 year of The Rise & Fall of a Midwest Princess, my life has been changed forever." She described the experience as “amazing, hard, beautiful, and eye-opening.”

Roan thanked her fans for their support, writing, "Thank you for showing up for this project and believing in me." She also mentioned how important her team is, noting that it takes a group of hardworking people to keep everything going.

This celebration comes after Roan opened up about her struggles with severe depression. In an interview with The Guardian, she shared that she attends therapy twice a week and that her life has completely changed. Even simple things, like going thrifting, now come with added challenges, as she has to plan for security and adjust to her new reality.

Despite these difficulties, Roan’s music and career continue to thrive. Recently, she won her first-ever VMA for Best New Artist, a testament to her talent and resilience.
