This celebration comes after Roan opened up about her struggles with severe depression. In an interview with The Guardian, she shared that she attends therapy twice a week and that her life has completely changed. Even simple things, like going thrifting, now come with added challenges, as she has to plan for security and adjust to her new reality.

Despite these difficulties, Roan’s music and career continue to thrive. Recently, she won her first-ever VMA for Best New Artist, a testament to her talent and resilience.
