UFC fighter Alex Pereira has challenged his opponent Khalil Rountree Jr. to donate to charity for every takedown attempt in their upcoming fight at UFC 307 this Saturday, Oct. 5, in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Rountree recently told the media that he doesn’t plan to go for any takedowns in their fight for the light heavyweight title. However, Pereira and his coach, Plinio Cruz, aren’t convinced.

Cruz said many fighters have said similar things in the past but ended up trying takedowns anyway. Pereira said he’ll believe Rountree if he makes a public promise to donate a part of his earnings to charity for every takedown attempt.

Rountree responded by saying he’s happy to donate to charity but doesn’t need to make a bet about takedowns to do it. He said he’ll donate a portion of his winnings to charity regardless of what happens in the fight.

The fight will take place in just a few days, so we’ll see if Rountree sticks to his word.
