Anne Hathaway recently apologized to a journalist for an uncomfortable interview they did together in 2012. The interview, which took place during the press tour for Les Misérables, resurfaced online. In the clip, Norwegian reporter Kjersti Flaa asked Hathaway and her co-stars, Hugh Jackman and Eddie Redmayne, if they would sing their answers to her questions. While Jackman and Redmayne agreed, Hathaway declined, saying, "I won’t be doing that, but you’re welcome to sing."
After the video resurfaced, Hathaway reached out to Flaa to apologize. Flaa posted a new video revealing that she had received an email from Hathaway's representative, which included a personal message from the actress. Flaa was surprised, saying, "I had not expected her to reach out at all."
In the email, Hathaway explained what she was going through at the time of the interview and apologized for her behavior, calling it an "awful interview." Flaa found the apology touching, saying, "It was so personal and heartfelt that it made me emotional."

Hathaway also invited Flaa to interview her again when her next big film comes out in 2025, and Flaa is looking forward to it.
This is not the first time Flaa has shared awkward interviews. Over the summer, she also posted a 2016 interview with Blake Lively, calling it "the most uncomfortable interview" she had ever experienced.
