Eminem, the 51-year-old rapper, is looking forward to becoming a grandfather. His daughter, Hailie Jade Scott, recently shared that she and her husband, Evan McClintock, are expecting their first child. A source told PEOPLE that Eminem is excited about this new chapter in his life.

Known for keeping his personal life private, Eminem has always been protective of Hailie, who he had with his ex, Kim Scott, when he was 23. The rapper enjoys his privacy, living on a large property near Detroit. According to the source, this allows him to stay away from the public eye and live comfortably.

Though he prefers a quiet life, Eminem's focus remains on his family. Hailie and her husband got married earlier this year after getting engaged in 2023. The two met at Michigan State University in 2016, and they live close to Eminem.

Eminem’s latest music video for the song "Temporary," which came out on Oct. 4, features personal moments from Hailie's wedding and shows Eminem holding a sonogram of his future grandchild. Hailie also revealed on her podcast that she had to hide her pregnancy during her wedding, with help from her friend, Brittany Ednie.

As Eminem prepares for his new role as a grandpa, it’s clear he’s excited and ready to support his daughter through this next step in her life.
