During the Los Angeles Lakers' 128-122 win over the Phoenix Suns in an NBA preseason game, rookie Bronny James was called for a flagrant foul.

The game, played on Thursday, saw James try to stop Suns player Jalen Bridges from scoring on a fastbreak. James bumped Bridges with his hip, causing him to fall.

At first, the referees called it a regular foul. However, after reviewing the play, they changed it to a flagrant foul. This decision upset many fans, who took to social media to criticize the NBA.

Some fans felt the league is becoming "too soft" with its calls. Comments like "The NBA is flagrant" and "Charmin soft league" spread online, with many feeling the call was too harsh.

James finished the game with 4 points and 2 rebounds in 17 minutes of play. This was the Lakers' second preseason win, giving them a 2-3 record so far. Their next game is against the Golden State Warriors on October 18. Source: ATHLON Sports
