Liam Payne, former One Direction star, built a huge fortune before his
tragic death. The singer had a net worth of about $105 million (US$70 million). Most of this came from his music career, both with One Direction and as a solo artist. He also owned several businesses.

The 31-year-old singer passed away on October 16 after falling from a hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina. According to emergency responders, he fell about 13 to 14 meters and suffered serious injuries. Earlier reports mentioned that police were called to the hotel due to his aggressive behavior and possible substance use.

Payne leaves behind his 7-year-old son, Bear Payne. In a past interview, Liam emotionally shared his plans to leave his entire fortune to Bear. “My life now is his, my money is his,” he said, adding that he had set up businesses for his son to manage or sell when he's older.

Liam became a father at 23 with his then-partner, Cheryl Cole, a former X Factor judge. The two started dating in 2017, and they have remained committed to co-parenting their son.

Liam Payne was born on August 29, 1993, in the West Midlands, England. He had a tough childhood, often falling ill and being bullied, which led him to take up boxing. He first auditioned for X Factor in 2008 but didn’t make it far. In 2010, he returned and became part of One Direction, one of the world’s most famous boy bands.

Aside from music, Liam worked as a producer and appeared in advertising campaigns. He also raised money for charities like Comic Relief and UNICEF. His legacy will live on through his music, his businesses, and his son Bear.
