Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour is coming to a close this December, wrapping up nearly two years of performances. With just three stops left, Swift took time during a recent concert in New Orleans to thank fans for the incredible journey.

In a speech caught on video by a fan, Swift expressed her pride in the fan community, saying, “You’ve created traditions. You’ve created this mass movement of joy every time we play a show.” She gave a special shoutout to the friendship bracelet trend, started by fans inspired by a line in her song "You’re On Your Own Kid" from her 2022 album Midnights: "Make the friendship bracelets, take the moment and taste it."

What began as a fun way for fans to connect has become a massive trend. The Caesar’s Superdome even put up a giant friendship bracelet outside the stadium for Swift’s New Orleans show, a gesture she found touching.

Over the past year, fans have exchanged thousands of handmade bracelets at shows and even gifted some to Swift herself. Earlier this year, she donated these bracelets to the Country Music Hall of Fame, where they’re now displayed in the entrance of the Taylor Swift Education Center.

The Eras Tour, which started in March 2023, has become the highest-grossing tour of all time. It showcases over 45 songs across Swift’s now 11 albums. The tour was recorded during the Los Angeles shows in August 2023 and released in cinemas worldwide. Source: Hello
