Taylor Swift's upcoming concerts in Toronto are expected to bring in $282 million to the local economy, according to a report by Destination Toronto.

The six sold-out shows will take place at the Rogers Centre on November 14, 15, 16, 21, 22, and 23. With around 240,000 fans attending, the majority of spending will come from out-of-town visitors.

They are expected to spend about $141 million on things like hotels, restaurants, and shopping. Local businesses are preparing for the influx of Swift fans, also known as "Swifties."

The city is also planning events around the concerts, like "Taylgate '24," a pre-show event at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre. Other local events include themed brunches and parties.

Taylor Swift's Eras Tour, which began in March 2023, is already the highest-grossing tour in history. Toronto is one of two Canadian stops before the tour ends in Vancouver in December.
