Travis Kelce had a bittersweet moment while attending a Yankees playoff game with Taylor Swift. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end joined Swift for a night at Yankee Stadium, where the New York Yankees faced off against the Cleveland Guardians in Game 1 of the ALCS.

As an Ohio native, Kelce was torn because he’s a fan of the Guardians but found himself in Yankees territory. He talked about it on his podcast, “New Heights,” saying, “I’m from Cleveland, so of course, I want to see the Guardians win the World Series. But I was having fun with Taylor and our friends. It was still a great experience, even though the Guardians didn’t win.”

The Yankees took the game, winning 5-2, thanks to home runs by Juan Soto and Giancarlo Stanton. Kelce described the atmosphere, saying, “Every pitch matters in the playoffs, and when Stanton and Soto hit those home runs, the ball just flies off the bat. It’s crazy.”

Kelce and Swift also enjoyed some downtime in New York, going out to dinner with friends Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. Their date nights included spots like The Corner Store and an Italian restaurant, Torrisi.

Kelce hinted at his plans during his team’s bye week earlier on the podcast, saying he was keeping things quiet. His week off began with a win for the Chiefs over the Saints, where Swift watched from the stands.

Kelce is now getting ready for a big game against the San Francisco 49ers, a rematch of the Super Bowl. Swift will be performing in Miami this weekend as her Eras Tour continues. The Chiefs (5-0) and 49ers (3-3) face off on Sunday.
