Photo: Imane Khelif/Instagram Olympic boxing champion Imane Khelif is in the news again after fresh questions about her eligibility to compete in women’s boxing at the 2024 Paris Olympics. A French magazine, Le Correspondant, recently claimed to have seen a leaked medical report about the Algerian boxer, but the BBC could not confirm this report. The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has defended Khelif’s right to compete in the women’s category, calling the magazine’s report “unverified.” A spokesperson for the IOC added that Khelif is now planning to take legal action over these latest claims, saying they feel saddened by the abuse Khelif has received. Photo: Imane Khelif/Instagram   Khelif, 25, won the women’s welterweight gold at the Paris Olympics. She had previously been disqualified from the 2023 World Championships due to gender eligibility concerns. Kamala Harris Concedes Election To Trump, But Promises To Keep Fighting

Image
Photo: Kamala Harris/Instagram   Kamala Harris has officially conceded the 2024 presidential election to Donald Trump . Despite her loss, Harris vows to continue fighting for the issues she believes in. Harris’s campaign had high hopes, especially among women who were expected to be her strongest supporters. But a moment on ABC’s "The View" seemed to capture the problem she faced throughout her campaign. When asked if she would have done anything differently from President Biden, Harris said, “There is not a thing that comes to mind.” This response made some voters wonder if she could bring real change. This hesitation to separate herself from Biden’s policies may have hurt her. Some of her supporters wanted her to distance herself from him on key issues like the economy and U.S. relations with Israel. Harris’s team tried to walk a line between loyalty to Biden and her own message, but this balance was hard to achieve. Photo: Kamala Harris/Instagram A last-minute push by her

Photo: Truong My Lan/Instagram   The appeal of Vietnamese real estate tycoon Truong My Lan, 68, who was sentenced to death for a $27 billion fraud, started on Monday. Lan, wearing a blue shirt, arrived in a Ho Chi Minh City courtroom under tight security for the appeal, which is expected to last three weeks. Along with her request to reduce the death sentence, Lan has also asked to waive a $26.5 million court fee. Forty-seven other defendants in this case are also appealing their sentences, and 100 lawyers are involved in the proceedings. This fraud scandal, one of Vietnam's biggest, shocked the country. Stipe Miocic Explains Why He Never Got A Trilogy Fight With Francis Ngannou

Image
Photo: Stipe Miocic/Instagram   Stipe Miocic recently shared his thoughts on why a third fight with Francis Ngannou never happened. The two heavyweights, both UFC legends, fought twice with each winning one fight. Miocic wanted one more fight to settle things, but it never came together. Miocic first fought Ngannou on January 20, 2018. At the time, Ngannou was known for his devastating knockouts, and many thought Miocic would lose. However, Miocic used his wrestling skills to control Ngannou, winning the fight by decision. When they fought again three years later, Ngannou had improved a lot, especially in his wrestling. This time, he knocked Miocic out to win the heavyweight title. Miocic wanted another chance to win the trilogy, but it wasn’t to be. Instead, Ciryl Gane got the next title shot against Ngannou. Photo: Imane Khelif/Instagram Algerian boxer Imane Khelif , who won gold at the Paris Olympics in women’s boxing, is at the center of a heated debate after a leaked medical report raised questions about her  eligibility  for female sports competitions. A French journalist, Djaffar Ait Aoudia, shared a report that suggested Khelif has a condition affecting her sexual development. This condition, known as 5-alpha reductase deficiency, can lead to ambiguous genitalia and internal male characteristics, though it typically limits other male traits. The report, prepared by doctors in Paris and Algiers in June 2023, stated that Khelif has an XY chromosome makeup and internal testicles, but no uterus. It recommended surgery and hormone treatments to help her align more closely with her gender identity. He won both the 100m and 200m races and recorded the fastest 200m time by an Australian in 31 years, clocking 20.29 seconds in the heats. Stipe Miocic Responds To Criticism And Talks Retirement Ahead of UFC 309 Fight With Jon Jones

Image
Photo: Stipe Miocic/Instagram   Stipe Miocic isn’t losing sleep over the backlash he's facing for getting a fight against Jon Jones at UFC 309. Miocic has been out of the ring for over three years, and some fans think interim heavyweight champ Tom Aspinall deserves the spot. But Miocic says the decision wasn’t his. “It wasn’t my choice,” Miocic told MMA Fighting. “I wanted this fight, and the UFC gave it to me. They didn’t have to.” Aspinall has been on a winning streak, finishing all his fights in the first two rounds, which adds to the frustration for some fans. But Miocic, with a legacy as one of the best heavyweights in UFC history, believes his fight with Jones is special and will mean more to the sport. Photo: Stipe Miocic/Instagram   “I think a lot more people want to see me fight Jones than Aspinall,” Miocic said. Miocic hasn’t fought since 2021 when he was knocked out by Francis Ngannou . Hideo Kojima Believes ‘Joker: Folie à Deux’ Will Be Better Liked In 10-20 Years

Image
Photo: Lady Gaga, Joaquin Phoenix/Instagram   Video game creator Hideo Kojima, famous for "Death Stranding," thinks "Joker: Folie à Deux" may get  more respect  in the future. The movie, which stars Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga , didn’t do well with critics and has only made a bit over $200 million at the box office—much less than the first "Joker" film, which earned over $1 billion. Kojima believes that, with time, people might come to appreciate it. Kojima shared his thoughts on social media, saying the movie opens with an animated sequence like the classic "Looney Tunes." This leads into a story where Joker's identity is questioned—who is he really, and is he even one person? He feels this film goes deeper into who Joker (or Arthur, Joker's alter ego) really is, something that might make audiences think more about hero and villain roles. Kojima commented that today, many movies feature "poetic justice" heroes who fight aga

During their talk, the focus turned to pay in women’s sports, especially in the WNBA. Clark, who plays for the Indiana Fever, earns a base salary of $76,000 a year. While she also makes money from endorsements, her pay is far below that of top NBA players, who earn millions. Photo: Donald Trump/Instagram   Trump admitted that equal pay in sports is "a very complicated thing." "I could feed him ideas, and he could bring them to life like nobody else," Shinoda said. "It was amazing. I didn’t know anything different because I hadn't worked with many others at that time. But recently, there’s been some tension between him and former Raptors star DeMar DeRozan . This offseason, DeRozan appeared in a music video for Kendrick Lamar ’s song Not Like Us , a track that took shots at Drake. Later, in Los Angeles, DeRozan even joined Lamar on stage to perform the song. Despite this, DeRozan told The Sacramento Bee  in July that he still considers Drake a friend. He brushed off the feud as "entertainment," comparing it to a competitive matchup between legends like Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan . Drake, however, doesn’t seem to feel quite the same way. On Saturday, when DeRozan visited Toronto as a player for the Sacramento Kings, Drake made a light-hearted

Many fans on social media joked about the special treatment Bronny seemed to receive. Some wondered if any other rookie would get to take home a net after their first basket. Others thought it was just because he’s LeBron James’ son, with some calling it "special treatment."
