Argentine officials have confirmed that singer Liam Payne, a former member of One Direction, did not die by suicide. Payne passed away on October 16 at the age of 31.

Following Payne's tragic death, rumors spread that he may have taken his own life. However, after a detailed investigation, Argentine prosecutors ruled out suicide. They believe Payne was likely unconscious when he fell from his third-floor balcony in Buenos Aires. Since his death, three individuals have been arrested.

Payne rose to fame with the popular boy band One Direction, which took a break in 2016 to allow members to pursue solo careers. Payne’s career faced setbacks over the years, partly due to reports of drug use and personal struggles.

In July 2023, Payne shared he was working on staying sober with the help of supportive friends. However, a toxicology report showed he had drugs in his system at the time of his death, including cocaine and other substances. Despite this, officials said the fatal injuries were consistent with a fall, and they ruled out suicide or foul play.

Payne’s funeral date is expected to be announced next week. Source
