Caitlin Clark is at the top of the list to be the next NBA 2K cover athlete, according to Ronnie Singh, the director of digital marketing for NBA 2K. Singh believes Clark, after her impressive rookie season, is a star who will be in the spotlight for many years to come. "I think she’s a young star that’s going to be here for a long time," Singh told Fox News Digital in a recent interview.

Since 2021, NBA 2K has featured WNBA athletes on some of its covers. Candace Parker, Sue Bird, Diana Taurasi, Sabrina Ionescu, and A'ja Wilson have all graced the cover in recent years. Wilson’s cover came out in September, and now, after Clark’s standout rookie year, she’s a favorite to be next.

Singh explained that cover athletes are chosen based on their authenticity, their rise in the sport, and the story they represent. Clark checks all those boxes. "She’s at the top of the list and probably will be for years to come," Singh said.

But Clark isn’t the only one in the running. Singh also mentioned Angel Reese, who made a mark with her record-breaking performance in rebounds and was named a WNBA All-Star alongside Clark. While Clark impressed with her assists and nearly 20 points per game, Reese was known for her powerful presence on the court before her season was cut short by injury.

Singh believes both Clark and Reese will have their moment in the future. "Both of them are extraordinary women, and we’d be lucky to have either of them," he said.

As for the next steps, Singh is excited about his partnership with Lids, where sports, fashion, and personalized gifts come together. "It’s super dope," he said, "Being able to celebrate our past heroes and teams with cool apparel, like caps, is incredible."

With so many rising stars in women’s basketball, the future of NBA 2K’s covers looks bright. Source
