Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green is not a fan of Boston Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla's idea of having more fights in NBA games.
Green shared his thoughts on "The Draymond Green Show" after the Warriors’ 104-89 win against the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday night.
Green, known for his physical style of play, said that Mazzulla’s call for more fights doesn’t make sense. “If you fight, you get kicked out of the league,” Green said. “I get what Joe is trying to say. He wants to bring back intensity and let players talk a little trash. But actual fighting? No, we’re not doing that.”

Mazzulla had suggested that fewer interruptions from referees during confrontations could add excitement to the game, similar to how hockey allows players to settle disputes. But the NBA has always been strict about fighting, with fines and suspensions for players who break the rules.
Green’s view is simple: keeping fights out of the game is better for the league. The NBA's popularity is already high, so adding physical fights is not needed for entertainment value. Green believes that letting players go at it physically could do more harm than good. Source: NBC Sports
