MVP Responds To Claims Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson Fight Was Rigged

Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) released a statement Monday addressing the growing rumors that Jake Paul’s win over Mike Tyson on November 15 was fixed. MVP, led by Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian, called these claims "illogical and silly."

The fight, held at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, was a huge success, with Paul, 27, beating the 58-year-old Tyson by unanimous decision. The event brought in $18.1 million in ticket sales, making it the largest U.S. fight gate outside of Las Vegas. The fight was also streamed on Netflix, attracting over 108 million global viewers.

However, some people were quick to question the fight’s fairness. Tyson, once a dominant heavyweight champion, did not perform as expected, leading some to believe the fight was rigged.

In response, MVP said both fighters gave their best effort and were not restricted in any way. They stressed that both were free to use their full abilities in the ring and that any agreement to fix the fight would have broken the rules set by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations (TDLR).

The fight sparked online rumors, including a fake script claiming it was planned, which was quickly proven false. Paul’s comment that he slowed down during the middle rounds of the fight instead of going for a knockout only added to suspicions.

MVP also pointed out that it would be ridiculous for them to consider violating the rules, especially as their event marked a new partnership with Netflix, the world’s largest streaming service. "The idea that MVP would risk breaking competition rules for a rigged fight is absurd," the statement said.

Bidarian, in several interviews, also defended Paul’s win, calling the rigging claims just another way people doubt Jake Paul’s success. "Since day one, people have questioned Jake’s ability in boxing. But he keeps proving himself and breaking records," Bidarian said. "Every time Jake proves them wrong, the doubters just keep coming. It only makes him work harder and aim for even greater success."

Despite the controversy, the event set new records, showing Jake Paul's ability to shine on the biggest stages. Source
