Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has been fined $14,069 by the NFL for a "violent gesture" made during his touchdown celebration in last Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills.
The fine stems from Mahomes pointing with both hands during his fourth-quarter touchdown pass to tight end Noah Gray.
The NFL felt the gesture resembled the act of using guns.
While the fine won’t have a big impact on Mahomes’ finances, it raises questions about whether the NFL will continue to penalize players for similar celebrations in the future. Source

Although the celebration seemed typical, the league is taking a strong stance by fining Mahomes, one of the NFL's biggest stars.
