Three people have been arrested and charged in Argentina in connection with the death of Liam Payne, former member of One Direction.
Officials say the three suspects engaged in "illegal conduct" leading up to Payne’s fall from a hotel balcony on October 16.
Authorities ruled out any self-harm or direct foul play, saying Payne’s fall happened while he was "semi or totally unconscious." According to a statement, the suspects are charged with "abandonment of a person followed by death" and providing drugs to Payne.

The investigation, which reviewed 800 hours of hotel security footage, led to the arrests. One person charged was with Payne daily during his stay in Buenos Aires, while a hotel employee is accused of giving Payne cocaine twice. A third suspect allegedly supplied drugs to Payne on October 14.
