Travis Kelce has reached another big milestone in his NFL career. During the Kansas City Chiefs’ game against the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, Nov. 24, Kelce caught a 19-yard pass from Patrick Mahomes. That catch pushed him past Antonio Gates on the all-time receiving yards list for tight ends.
Kelce now has 11,854 career receiving yards, passing Gates' 11,841. Only two tight ends are ahead of him: Jason Witten, with 13,046 yards, and Tony Gonzalez, who holds the record at 15,127 yards.
At 35 years old, Kelce already holds several records, including the most receiving yards by a tight end in a single season (1,416 in 2020) and the fastest tight end to reach 10,000 yards. He also has the most seasons with 1,000 yards for a tight end, doing so seven years in a row.

Kelce has also caught passes in 158 straight games, the longest streak in Chiefs history. However, he still has a way to go to catch Gonzalez for the top spot on the all-time list.
Despite these accomplishments, Kelce was hard on himself after the Chiefs’ 30-21 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Nov. 17. On his podcast, New Heights, he told his brother, Jason Kelce, that he didn’t play his best in that game.

“That pisses me off,” Kelce said, adding that he went straight back to work to improve. “This is something you won’t see out of us again. A lot of this is fixable, and I’ve got all the faith in the world in this team.”
Kelce and the Chiefs will look to bounce back and keep making history as the season continues. Source
