Alex Pereira, the UFC light heavyweight champion, recently showed how far he has come by giving back to his parents in a big way. Four years ago, his family was living in tough conditions. Now, thanks to Pereira's success, they’ve moved into a stunning modern mansion.

Pereira shared his journey in a heartfelt post on X (formerly Twitter). One photo showed him four years ago in a modest room with exposed brick walls. The next photo showed his parents' new luxurious home, featuring sleek marble floors and massive windows. “Thank you very much, my God,” he wrote.

The fighter reflected on his humble beginnings in a video with Complex, remembering how his father would buy him one pair of shoes a year, which had to last. “I never thought I’d pay $2,100 for shoes,” Pereira said, holding a pair of Air Jordans.

Pereira has spoken openly about his struggles, including overcoming alcoholism. He credits his decision to quit drinking as the turning point in his life, paving the way for his rise in the UFC.

Since defeating Khalil Rountree Jr. in October at UFC 307, Pereira has taken a break after an intense schedule. Fans are now speculating about his next move—possibly facing Magomed Ankalaev or a superfight with heavyweight champion Jon Jones.

For now, Pereira is enjoying his success and sharing it with those who supported him from the start. Source
